In Peshawar, we lack footpaths on most roads, and wherever they do exist, they're often occupied by encroachments. We need to make our cities more pedestrian-friendly.

Peshawar is perhaps the only major city in the world where a directly elected mayor has no control over sanitation services. The local government is essentially dysfunctional, and the provincial government seems to prioritize other interests over governance.

Dozens of exotic birds were slaughtered at the mini zoo in RMT, Peshawar. @YarMKNiazi reported that an inquiry has been ordered into the incident; however, no action has been taken so far. Instead, PDA officials appear to be attempting to sweep the incident under the rug.

I visited peshawar today after so long. It remains a city with zero traffic management, air quality is terrible with old buses and rickshaws and bad smoke emitting vehicles. The air quality will soon reach hazardous levels if it hasn’t reached already. I wonder who cares.
