Officially one month down as a golf course superintendent. Things are slowly but surely coming together. Getting more crew guys hired and finally got an assistant hired. Spray packages implemented and standards/expectations set. Stay tuned for the journey!
The next is using the green smart ground cover as a binding agent for irrigation heads raised or lowered (no washouts or sinking heads🤔😉)

Fun little tradition I have with anyone making a hole-in-one on the course. They get the actual flag off the green and a handwritten card put in their locker. It goes a long way. #fairview #holeinone #memento

Left is Cavalier Zoysia and right is Northbridge Bermuda. Raised some questions for me on the drought tolerance topic. Irrigation was completely off for 4 days due to an ongoing irrigation renovation, 98+ everyday, no rain. Soils are identical. 🤔🤔

Herbicide application this morning before the rain to target our Pearlwort in Greens. What may not be noticeable to the normal golfer, it’s a nightmare for a Greenkeeper. Selective seeding work will be carried out to further suppress this. @Leven_links
Friday was my last day at Old Memorial. Bringing a near 5 year run to a close. I will forever cherish my time spent at this hidden treasure in the heart of Tampa. The golf course is truly one of a kind but it's the people that I will remember and miss the most... #OnTheRoadAgain
