Along w/ the students’ tiles, the artists incl. 3 hummingbirds in the piece, representing the past, present & future: what we need to look at when we’re growing as individuals & as a community. The orange wood is to remind us of #OrangeShirtDay & the importance of moving fwd.
Today I was able to witness ceremony for a new art piece at @brentwoodSD41 created by #RainAwakens in collaboration w/ the school community. It was beautiful to see students clap along w/ the beat of the drums & watch carefully as the artists and piece were brushed off. #bced
