During our Arctic trip, @dedmaxopka shoot this visualisation of  Kelvin–Helmholtz instability. It is a fluid instability that occurs when there is velocity shear in a  continuous fluid or a velocity difference across the interface between two fluids. Do you remember Van Gogh?

Master class of Arctic thermal sensor preparing

Today we start the second phase of our new study : heat islands of UNHABITATED cities. After a long search we found such settlement: in Arctic zone! And very soon we will find out: is it possible to form a heat island in winter only by circulation factors ( inversion)!
