Yesterday my wire sculpture of epidermis of Arabidopsis thaliana was moved to its permanent position - just down the Firth Hall stairwell and through the doors to the right. Doesn't it look great against a white wall! #stomata #sciart #scienceoutreach

Floods are happening more frequently with the prolonged periods of rainfall. Happy to be part of @R_Sasidharan group @UU_Plants where we study how root flooding affects a subsequent flooding event. It is a big umbrella (metaphorically) protecting the plant, so lots to discover!

FYI, people (also not necessarily plant people, can also work for #drosophila #worms and others) #AcademicTwitter

Just a friendly reminder that I will be giving a brief overview of ggPlantmap this Thursday at 2PM (CEST). I will also discuss ways we can build a supportive community so that everyone can develop skills in R. DM if you would like to receive the link!

It is my great pleasure to announce ggPlantmap (github.com/leonardojo/ggP…), an open-source R package to create ggplot maps from plant images. Now, you can create beautiful plant heatmaps to be visualized and modified in a R coding environment.

I am so proud of my team always, but especially this week. @leonardojo had an experimental delay of a week, I suggested some time to relax… and this is how he relaxed? The package is fool (PI) proof!
