I want to take a minute to celebrate the culmination of ten years of work on how thorns grow. It seems arcane, but will help us understand more about how plants grow! a big thanks to everyone who worked on this project! cell.com/current-biolog… eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2…

Our own Nijat started his Tour Aotearoa 2020: 3,000 kms from Cape Reinga to Bluff by bike. End of Day 2 yesterday, we went to support him as he was passing in Auckland. Go @nijat_imin #TourAotearoa

Hello #2020! Hope you've all enjoyed your break. Our very talented @KimSnowden12 created this beautiful #art using polymer clay. Show us what have you've been up to over the holiday! #nativeplants

Here's a new polymer clay cane, the intent was a forest scene, featuring NZ native plants like manuka, nikau, cabbage tree, fern, lancewood and kauri. Still have a lot to learn about contrast and getting fine details.

Xmas lab day out. Nice walk along the beach.
