“Reducing herbivory in mixed planting by genomic prediction of neighbor effects in the field” by Sato et al. We applied the concept of genomic prediction for mixed planting in Arabidopsis thaliana, providing a proof-of-concept to increase plant resistance, yield, or other traits.
Identifying genotype pairs that perform better in mixture than monoculture is important for increasing crop yields. Using thale cress, Sato et al. show how such beneficial genotype pairs can be found using GWAS @yassatojpn @kkshimizu1 @BWSchmid @tkd_antant nature.com/articles/s4146…
