The pleading faces are just multiplying. Shelters are full. What do you do in these situations? The puppies were urgent since they would start roaming the streets soon but to leave the rest behind just wasn’t possible. I agreed to take the 5 chunky puppies and my friend
We went back to the property to take photos of the dogs in need and I couldn’t walk away twice. Next thing I know I have chunky, 20 lb puppies in the back of my van. My toddler doesn’t seem too upset about it.

A mail carrier spotted two emaciated dogs hanging in a ditch together. One was unable to walk. I drove out early the next morning not knowing if they’d still be there or if they found help. Unfortunately both were still there exactly where she said they’d be.
Sometimes I see dogs at the shelter + almost feel selfish for advocating for saving them because they are so sick and seemingly suffering. Sebastian was one of those dogs.
Just two weeks ago I had Carmi out and she was a happy, wiggly girl. Today, Carmi is extremely sick, depressed and refusing to eat. Her medical notes say that she has been just staring at the floor and won’t even eat meatballs💔 #peoria #puppylife #puppylove #dogsdaysofsumme
Updates of this magical warrior, we call Rosa are giving me life!!!!! 🥰❤️😭😍We thought there was a good chance she would not survive first night, but we made sure she was comfortable so if she did pass , she would pass peacefully and pain free in her sleep.

Update: she just passed and it’s beyond unfair. My heart is shatterer and I’m so angry.. but we can’t give up. Her siblings still need to fight… we won’t give up babies.
