I am also told, by the way, but cannot 100% confirm, that the person who intervened to stop the attacker today was a Brazilian national. Whoever he was, a hero that should not be forgotten.

In what appears a mindless act of vandalism, the famous sycamore tree on Hadrian's Wall has been cut down. It really was the most iconic location on the route. Here I am passing it on my English coast-to-coast walk in 2019. What is the world coming to?

All Ireland hurling SF weekend and one could be forgiven for thinking otherwise. Serious lack of promotion at every level. Simply not good enough. No effort at top level.

Narrator: The decision to shut 65 local London police stations was made in 2013 by the Mayor of London at the time. His name was Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson not Sadiq Khan.

It's time that Sadiq Khan ends the uncertainty and commits to retaining Uxbridge Police Station -- it's purpose built, in the right location, and needs to stay open in the best interests of Uxbridge and the West London area.

How sustainable is this Minister ? How long before your policies will result in the closure of our beef and dairy sector, only to import from Brazil where their herd is being doubled ? It’s pure hypocrisy !!

The President criticised the housing disaster - and this is what a FG minister comes up with as a response. Announcing this on the day Michael D’s dog died is particularly classless.

Patrick O’Donovan, the minister of state for the Office of Public Works, has asked his officials to write to President Michael D Higgins about housing refugees in Áras an Uachtaráin. businesspost.ie/politics/state…
