Health & Safety concerns have Pro sports moving slowly, even with the ability to isolate, NCAA pushes dead period through August - why are we pushing for our youth to play?
I hope that all players getting back on the fields do it out of love for the game and not a feeling of pressure to get recruited. Sad that the messaging coming at families right now has gone from “let the kids play” to “we are sending coaches film, don’t be the one missing out!”

Heard a D1 coach say something incredibly important to some HS jr/sr girls this weekend. “You must get comfortable with being a good teammate and sitting on the bench” And that may be tough to hear, but it’s so important. College is the best of the best - everything is EARNED.
Players: Employers don’t care what division or sport you played. Who you are is what matters. Do you work hard, love being part of a team, possess leadership skills by serving? Are you kind? Low maintenance? Employers want people who add value without drama. Are you that person?

Noticed a player tonight (while scouting another kid). At halftime I called a coaching friend and told him he should keep an eye on him. By the end of the game I called him and told him ”nevermind” after sitting near the kid’s father. Parents, don’t ruin your kids’ opportunities.
