After years of using ridership as an excuse not to invest in transit, @_MarkSutcliffe wants to hike fares and discount pass price, which will only push more riders away from taking transit. Send an email to the mayor and your councillor today: horizonottawa.ca/fare_freeze_fo…

Mayors calling on the Government of Ontario to use the notwithstanding clause to dismantle homeless encampments is despicable. We need to build more publicly owned, social housing, not violently clear encampments. Homes, not hate, are the solution to the homelessness crisis

I was proud to rally with hundreds of neighbours today in Nepean to say refugees are welcome here. That’s the #Ottawa I love.

Another out of touch rich man talking down to workers laboring to feed their families and pay their rent. What’s new?

Canada Post is clearly essential services and should not have the right to go on strike

L take. Also not how it works? Is he advocating for forced labour?? Idk if he understands the concept of a strike

Great article. I'd like to note: if you're limited to online activism for reasons beyond your control, there's still a place and purpose for you in organizing! Go beyond posting and start emailing & calling your representatives. Attend virtual workshops & panels. I see you.

Thank you to @The_Fulcrum for publishing Alex Stratas and I’s article calling on young people to stop mourning and start organizing if they want to see real change. You can read it below, super proud of it thefulcrum.ca/opinions/dont-…

Wildly inappropriate for the Leader of Opposition to call for a principal to be fired. But it’s also telling that he finds playing a song from a Palestinian artist calling for peace to be a fireable offence.

Disgraceful. A high school principal tried to justify playing protest songs at a Remembrance Day ceremony, demeaning and devaluing the service of women and men who died defending our country's freedom. He should be fired now. torontosun.com/news/national/…

Why does the city continue to ignore transit riders? We've been speaking out for years and deserve a well funded, efficient, ACCESSIBLE and affordable (free, really) public transit system. This is infuriating.
