It’s Time To Stop Living In Fear Of Crime. Let’s Get Rid Of Guns And The Police.
I truly, emphatically, from the bottom of my heart, do not care.
Remote work risks wiping $800 billion from the value of office buildings in major cities worldwide by 2030 as the post-pandemic trend pushes up office vacancy rates and drives down rents, according to a new report cnn.it/3XSbhov
When someone asks, “What are you gonna do, wear a mask forever!?” they are revealing their own inability to adapt to changing material conditions.
Changing this legal standard has the potential to harm generations of Washingtonians. It also won't solve the problem. Studies have shown unwarranted pretrial detention increases the likelihood of future criminal activity. This bill could actually make our problem worse.
ERIN PALMER WAS RIGHT THERE. She was right there. Y’all endorsed and spent all this time backing people who were always going to betray us, it was only a matter of time, and ERIN PALMER WAS RIGHT THERE. That’s the part that makes me extra angry about all this.

Tuesday’s rent control debate had parliamentary challenges, calls for a recess, and more than a bit of snark traded among councilmembers. In short, it made Congress look competent. Here’s where the fight over rent cap stands after a lot of chaos: washingtoncitypaper.com/article/607629…
We really don't talk enough about how much Americans actually hate driving. Mythology advanced by abundant car advertising is strong. But all the anger we experience over e.g. parking, traffic, cost, stress, noise -- all those complaints are about how much it sucks to drive.

Before saying yes to something, ask yourself: will I hate this with my whole soul when the deadline/event arrives
A thread that needs to be disseminated widely until everyone understands how the field of medicine can have gotten something so fundamental as transmission of respiratory pathogens wrong for so long…. …and also some reasons for the entrenched groupthink and continuing…
1/ What were the historical reasons for the resistance to recognizing airborne transmission during the COVID-19 pandemic? Our peer-reviewed open-access paper is now published: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/in…
Small face elastomeric respirators. I have a full face respirator that fits great. I’ve been using an MCU-2/P for 15+ yrs. Since COVID started I’ve been trying to find a half face option. ACI Duckbill N95s are the only disposable N95 I’ve tried that fits. Now respirators 🧵
Covid infinity loop: "We're exhausted & cannot take precautions anymore. People don't want to hear about Covid. Oh damn, now we all have the virus again & are even more exhausted. Zero energy left for precautions. Hyperfatigue. Please don't say the word C-ovid."
If only more people appreciated the Biden administration as largely an effort of distracting from and quietly stamping out the nascent social welfare state expansion that grew out of the pandemic historical contingency, ensuring the potential of the moment was fully squandered
It’s Just Her Time. At Least, It Is Now I’ve Given Her Covid.
Vegan Diets. Walking In The Woods. Unfiltered Tap Water. Not Travelling Internationally. Mould. Unions. Safety Boots. Immigrants. There’s Literally A Billion More Things We Can Blame Before We Have To Start Blaming Covid For Anything Caused By Covid.
They went so hard with this one 😭
