Dev log 19: tightened the themes up in the pastel-y game. (My placeholder name for it is Timekeeper.) Was nice to write on call with friends!
Dev Log 18: hello! Back from my unplanned break. Had a family emergency. But feeling energized now! Worked on a mood board for visual direction for marketing art with my teammate today. Was fun to hang out. :-)
Dev Log 16: Redrawing and coloring my sprites to match my new UI colors! I didn’t make good progress. I noticed that I feel sad whenever I don’t make good progress and take a long time. Hard to balance working quickly and being satisfied with results.
Dev Log 15: Finished tweaking the UI! Now on to finalizing the sprite art style. Started redrawing Timekeeper, the protagonist, today.
Dev Log 13+14: went to Kinokuniya to find graphic design reference and then re-designed the UI! Much happier with the new direction.
Dev Log 12: Feelin genki today! 🙂 Read more of the book on storytelling. Araki’s character sheet is fun process! I’ll try it out.

Dev Log 10: Fixed up and UI mock and made more variants for speech bubble placement. Today’s tip: I’ve been sleeping on Google Fonts my whole life. The entire collection is free to use!
Dev Log 8: I was searching for a visual direction for the UI of my side project last night. I don't have much experience with art directing so It's slow going, but I managed to pick a name for the project! "Dying Dark" :-) Bleak name to pair with the cute aesthetics.

Dev Log 5+6: Lots of background experimentation progress! Found a fast photo bashing workflow. Tip of the day: make sure your color profile is correctly set. RGB Adobe 1998 works well for digital art.
Dev Log 3: Experimented with a photo and paint over process for visual novel backgrounds. Was really inspired by Adelta's new game, Ooe! adeltaz1.wixsite.com/owen
