Hello all, I’ve made an account to share bits about my MG TF, and probably my R75. Have watched car Twitter, and #weirdcartwitter, from afar but hope to get involved! Here is the TF in question; a 2004 80th Anniversary special edition. 135 hp of (partly) metro-based Brummie magic
We need to see the rest of that MG ad. #lifestooshortnotto
Michael Ball's first and only video game appearance?
Inspiration taken. This week I’ve been off work, the Rover’s had: ✅Replaced leaking stat O-rings, on the V6 IYKYK 😅 ✅Arch liners out and @Lanoguard topped up ✅Winter wheels & tyres on ✅Washed, waxed chrome, ceramic spray, plastic + rubber treat, oiled hinges. ❄️ ready 🤞
With winter roads coming I’ve spent the weekend fully preparing my Jaguar for them. Paint polished, sealed and protected, plastics rehydrated, chrome waxed and the sills and arches Waxoyl’d. Summer can’t come back around soon enough, I love this car even more when it’s shiny.
These could well be some of the same trees on another Sunday 120 years later, photo from the East Coast Run.
Watery, autumnal light in Scarbados last weekend. Still a great car to jump into and cruise for a couple of hours.
It's a bonkers design isn't it. If they had put the bolt the other way round. Also ... Senseless plug for our video about this youtu.be/Ei1g3rA9I_M
And playing as ‘Williams Driver No1’ because JV wasn’t licensed despite being world champion.
That car, that colour, those wheels. The quintessential E Type, the best looking car ever made IMHO.
Jaguar cars from around the world ..here is a stunning red E type . drop dead gorgeous.
Today they turned off the UK’s last coal power station and the last blast furnace. Like most people I had two grandfathers; mine were a coal miner and a steelworks electrician. All gone in just 35 or so years. 📷 My photo of Ferrybridge cooling towers from Pontefract Castle
A relic of South Yorkshire County Council, which existed only from 1974-86.
Yes I agree the parking is shocking but he’s beating the ULEZ in a 1976 Hillman Hunter 👀
Oh look, our favorite shopkeeper is parked in the cycle lane again. He obviously doesn't understand what no loading and waiting between 16.30-18.30hrs means. Probably laughing his head off that the traffic wardens are on strike. I wonder if he will be still be laughing, when I…
For an enthusiast, there’s an appeal in the visceral auditory sensory experience. The feel of the engine, the analog mechanical feedback. Are EV’s fast? Yes. Can they be fun? Sure. But they remain incapable of providing the visceral experience and drivers connectivity of…
Miserable weather but still lots of interesting stuff to see at the Knavesmire today. If you were there you may have spotted a leaky TF with its’ half cover on. Now home to dry off.
At least the car in front is quality…
England, M25 motorway, traffic jam in one direction near junction 9 (2006)
As it stands, European countries can no longer issue tickets to UK registered cars caught speeding by cameras. They have no access to the DVLA database. Obviously googled that in Italy last year just out of curiosity… 👀
If Keir Starmer reversed Brexit, which of the Brexit benefits would you miss the most?
Bonus picture from France. Liberte, Égalité, Fraternité et une voiture française.
What’s a bank holiday for if not changing a radiator? (At least I am now about to fire up the bbq!) Only a slight leak, but I supposed it wasn’t going to get any less leaky after 23 yrs service, the weather isn’t going to get much nicer and I’ll soon be back to work. Job done.
