✨ Reflecting on an amazing experience I just had - Introduction to Graduate Education at Northwestern (IGEN)! 🎓 I toured the Chicago and Evanston campuses, connected with faculty, staff, and students, and gained insights into Northwestern’s doctoral programs. #GradSchool #IGEN

The Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program is a federal TRIO program that helps First-Generation, underrepresented college students prepare for Graduate Studies to the doctoral level (PhD).

I've made it to academia twitter! I'll share more of the work I've done academically over time, this year alone I've been really networking 💪🏾 excited for more and can't wait to see what opportunities I find🥰

Out now in @CellCellPress! doi.org/10.1016/j.cell… Historically marginalized student representation drastically drops from undergrad to grad school. Are underrepresented students unqualified? Or are grad school admissions unnecessarily confusing, costly, & gatekeeping? 1/🧵
