Cllrs in @CityofJoburgZA on a meeting with @JHBWater to discuss the #watershutdown over the December. Clear no real plan in place & even sadder, Mayor, MMC, nor Speaker are on this crisis meeting. Looks to be 2-3 wks to recover, so JHB will likely only get full supply end 2024

Rand Water has decided to emabark on maintenance over the festive period for 3 day across the city. we have seen almost every time with maintenance across the City of this magnitude, water can take up 2 weeks to restore in the Commando, Randburg and South of JHB.

Day 11 or 12 without water, I forget. It rained last night. Lovely rain. Much needed. Pools of water everywhere. Nothing in the taps of course, but good to know water does actually exist. If only JHB water could find a way to catch it, and send it on to consumers. One can dream.
