We can’t control the home environment of our students, but we can surely control their classroom environment. When they’re under our care, they can feel safe, feel supported, and feel loved.
I hope Tennesseans are paying attention to this legislative session. While educators are in survival mode, lawmakers led by @GovBillLee are doing some very disturbing things. Public education is under attack. Be aware!
Notice it doesn't say HAD. It says HAVE. God has plans to prosper you, to give you hope and a future. Don’t dwell on the disappointments of the past or temporary setbacks because God has much more planned for your life! The best is yet to come. Merry Christmas!

Effective teachers don't focus so much on rules, but on routines, procedures and expectations. If you focus on rules, you will spend most of the year enforcing them. But if you focus on routines, procedures, and expectations, you rarely have to defer back to the rules.

I wish @GovBillLee would make every single lawmaker spend one day in a TENNESSEE classroom before they get to vote on ANY education bill. I also wish he would closely evaluate the credentials of those in current leadership at TNDOE. Is that asking too much, sir?
