McAllen firefighters responded to a house on fire tonight. While occupants evacuated safely, 4 dogs & 1 parrot were rescued from the burning home. Oxygen masks designed specifically for dogs were utilized to rehabilitate the pets from smoke inhalation. All pets are safe & sound.

In a true display of teamwork several fire dept’s including your McAllen Firefighters responded to near Garceño in Starr County to help rescue a 4 year old boy who had fallen down a well. Crews worked to free him from a well pipe and is currently recovering at a local hospital.
We will never forget that horrible day. On September 11,2001 343 regular men did extraordinary things. We honor and remember their sacrifice. #neverforgotten
