In the good old days when recruits were given an instruction book (IB) at Hendon which they kept throughout their service, it very clearly required all ranks in uniform to salute uncovered military colours. (Ch 5 para 62) 😇 UP the MICKS
An MPS Sergeant saluting the Regimental Colours of the Irish Guards during the Guard Change. An officer saluting the colours is a huge mark of respect towards them, as the colours represent major battle honours won by that regiment. Brilliant, skipper.
