GPT4 refused to clean its room today and left the dinner table without putting its plate in the dishwasher. Had to spend 30 minutes getting it to brush its teeth at bedtime as well. I want the old GPT4 back. Bloody teenagers.

The current exclusion zone around Fukushima, the extents of which are extremely conservative and overcautious, is smaller than the area of land a solar plant would require to produce the same energy output as the nuclear plant.

You aren’t going to get this analysis in your morning paper. I don’t think the proponents of assisted suicide are bad people. But this is bad law.

Less than 3 weeks before it's due to be debated, Kim Leadbeater MP has finally published the text of her assisted suicide bill. It's 38 pages long, has 43 clauses and 6 schedules. MPs will have a maximum of five hours to debate it. bills.parliament.uk/bills/3774/pub…

Private education is price inelastic. People’s motivations for paying for it are rarely all that affected by the price. Which doesn’t mean that increasing its price doesn’t affect people, it just means that for many, other spending will be sacrificed.

So as it turns out .. Farming (about 500, not 70,000 farms, will be affected by the closure of the tax loophole) is the new Private Education (3000 pupils transferred to the state system, as opposed to 250,000 claimed)

New: Britain once led the world in nuclear power. In 1965, we had more reactors than the rest of the world combined! But, Britain is set to switch off all but one of our nuclear power stations in four years time. Here's why we must avoid that happening. 🧵

Should you be able to experiment on your own cancer? This expert virologist did. It was the 3rd time her cancer appeared. It didn't bode well. So she injected viruses in her tumor and it shrunk. But most journals didn't want to publish her results. Why? Because they're dumb 🧵

A scientist who successfully treated her own breast cancer by injecting the tumour with lab-grown viruses has sparked discussion about the ethics of self-experimentation go.nature.com/3NXqzEq
