Toronto has multiple - 16! - revenue tools at it’s disposal to fund transit operations as per the City of Toronto Act that it does not currently use. Majority of them do not require any permission from the Province. They are not being used due to the inaction of Council.
The province refuses to give TO any more revenue tools... how are "strong mayor powers" going to be of any use without the money to solve these issues?!? The bottom line is that Ford hates The6ix and has done everything in his power to hamstring us.
Cowards - show them the picture we with the Ugly Therme building & how many trees will be destroyed for a day spa....
While it's to be hoped that Toronto rejects the ridiculous application especially the ill-conceived @ThermeCanada spa with its $500 million parking garage subsidy from the province, it's also likely that @fordnation will ignore any dissenting opinions by the city. Sad.

What @fordnation has planned for Indigenous territories in northern Ontario #RingofFire goes well beyond gutting the #Greenbelt. It must be as strongly opposed as well. Ontario residents must stand in solidarity & support First Nations on the front lines fighting for the land.
