Somewhere in this photo of the new parliamentary Labour Party is Markus Campbell-Savours our MP!
Nice surprise to see a few tactical voting posters going up …. Vote. Them. Out. Politics will never recover unless the worst government in history gets the message that you cannot do so much damage without paying a very heavy political price.
What were the odds on this? Second Tory candidate, this one married to a party campaign boss, is also being probed over a bet on the election date. mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…
Another positive day speaking with people in Harraby North, Harraby South and Longtown. Come rain or shine, we're out across the city to listen to the key issues concerning you.
Blimey!!
🗳️ We asked who you were voting for, and over 13,000 people responded... 1⃣ @UKLabour 2⃣ @LibDems 3⃣ @reformparty_uk 4⃣ @Conservatives
Best of luck to SERA member Julie Minns standing for @carlisle_labour! We're looking forward to seeing you in Parliament.
Are you, or someone you care for, having chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer? Watch Jeni, one of our specialist nurses, talk about what chemotherapy is, who can have it and the possible side effects. You’ll also hear personal experiences of chemotherapy. youtube.com/watch?v=5pAz-9…
Former Head of Counter Terror policing, Neil Basu knows what it takes to protect national security. Now he’s backing Labour’s plan to protect our borders —with a new Border Security Command and tough counter terror powers to smash criminal smuggling gangs.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2024/…
When people say: “You’re all the same” & “Politicians, whatever the party, never make anything better” 👀 👇🏻
NEW: Waiting times targets have been missed every single month since the last election by most NHS Trusts. Only a Labour government will make sure patients are treated on time. We’ve done it before and we’ll do it again.
Congratulations @davidallen4pfcc . Labour’s first ever PFCC in Cumbria!
Labour GAIN Cumbria Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner from the Conservatives - congratulations to David Allen🌹

Cumbrian Labour members are always happy when elections we’ve campaigned in go the right way and our candidates win. But it’s also nice to get messages like this from David Allen, Cumbria’s new PFCC. What a great crime-fighting public servant and what a gent. Onwards & upwards!
That was certainly full day of campaigning! 32,000 steps (26km) later and hundreds of doors knocked on & leaflets delivered. I’m now at the count.
Last night in Carlisle, the Torie abandoned their Police Commissioner, not a Tory activist out on the streets. Great victory for David Allen, the new Labour Crime Commissioner for Cumbria
Absolutely fantastic news!!! 🎉🎉
Labour GAIN Cumbria Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner from the Conservatives - congratulations to David Allen🌹
Lots of campaigning in Penrith&Solway too for David Allen as Cumbria PFCC. Voters are impressed by David’s track record of public service, fighting crime and keeping communities safe. #VoteLabour #May2
We are seeing great support for David Allen across Carlisle. People want a candidate with the experience to do the job. That's why they're voting David Allen on 2nd May.
