Covered strangles as I call them, or diagonals as my broker calls them are interesting. I get premium for ups and downs. It’s and interesting balance, but I’m not sure if my strategy is the most efficient. $3000 profit this month though.
To me, the easiest portfolio management strategy is simply keeping theta at one-fifth of one-percent of net liquidity. For me, that is my ride until I die secret.
Day 2 of my covered strangle on amd is looking good already. Trying something new out.
New strategy for me to begin testing out. Covered Strangles. Going for a ride on some premium. If stock goes down I buy and collect premium. If stock goes up I sell and collect premium. #notfinancialadvice
I don't know who needs to hear this, but selling options 45 days out does work. Rolling is almost always an option, no pun intended.
Buy and Hold isn't capital efficient. There, I said it. Dividends aren't capital efficient. There, I said it. Not taking risk is the biggest risk you can take....also the worst risk.
Today, I get assigned 700 shares of AMD
Nothing like driving and hearing the tastyworks chime play over my music because a position just closed for a profit.
#AMD stock is going to likely get assigned. I am about to be 500 shares heavier and probably doing covered calls after that.
Today would have been a great dat for a 5 delta 0 DTE iron condor to win, but man, it would have been a scary ride!
Options or fitness…..I like a little bit of both
