Insurance companies are so dumb! They will cover the allotransplant for a patient but not cover Tacro post transplant! I mean who makes these policies and have they ever worked in clinical medicine?

US has a testosterone abuse problem. Patients are on it for no good reason. Patients with cardiac problems, VTE, sleep apnea. I have even seen women on it for fatigue!!!! Agencies have turned a blind eye to this menace till it become a crises in the next 10 years.
TP53 mut AML/MDS. With such poor outcomes in these patients even with transplant should we continue to transplant? Only if using MAC and or MRD- pre transplant? Having a bad day with this horrible disease! 🥺🥺
CBF leukaemia with C-Kit mut. Dense mast cell aggregates with atypical morphology and CD25 expression. Is this SM-AHN? Can you see such mast cell aggregates in CBF AML with mut c-kit and would this still be considered a fav risk AML? @sanamloghavi @AaronGoodman33 @nihardesai7
