Texas makes it too easy for someone like the #Uvalde killer to get a gun. But when we offer fixes that would have prevented it—or at least made it harder—Texas lawmakers shut them down. Because winning re-election is more important than protecting children.

Not only has the Lege done nothing to address rising gun violence, they are so desperate to #2A that the House yesterday passed a bill, co-sponsored by a rep who is a gun manufacturer, to strike down non-existent city rules requiring gun owners to obtain liability insurance.
