Day 5 and the lads travelled to Manduar today and met up with a division 1 football player who they coached back in 2016. They watched a local football match and were presented with certificates of appreciation from the Manduar Sports Committee for their support and help in sport
Day 2 and the guys have had another busy day at Manduar school, a special place for the project. They arrived to a great reception of children singing, clapping & dancing. They met the local councillor Lamin Jarjou. And of course the main event was a football tournament.
Day 1 has been busy for the lads. They had a great welcome from the Kassa Kunda villagers and wanted to thank them all especially the elders for such a great welcome.
Was great to see the school build project almost finished, and the lads are now discussing a potential new accommodation building for the school to help attract more highly qualified staff. The school gifted tops to the volunteers to show their appreciation of the work.
As expected football played a major part in todays schedule; lots of interaction and enthusiasm with the village boys and girls in a mini tournament. A big shout out to Mark @ProKit_UK who help make this possible with their continued support.
And they’re off ✈️ The volunteers are flying out to Gambia today to carry on with this great project. They will be teaching football and following up on the school build in Kassa Kunda village. Thanks Lee Bartlett Chauffeur-Bus for donating your time to take the lads to Gatwick

Great fun session this morning at the club followed by some Halloween treats. Please contact Paul (number on the flyer) if you would like your child to come and try grasshoppers! 9-10am every Saturday morning on the Prom.
We are looking for a coach for our grasshoppers (age 3-6 years) on Saturday mornings.Must have some football experience. Ideally with a level one certificate but not essential as the club will put you on the FA coaching course and pay for it. Please contact Simon 07860 177422.
