I made an observation that the name Dune might come from the Arabic word for world - which is “Dunya.” But TikTok thinks I’m stupid. I just don’t know why it’s so unlikely considering Frank Herbert was obsessed with the Middle East, Islam and Orientalism in general! Wyt? #dune
