Love this quote. So sorry to miss this celebration, which I was hugely looking forward to. Train strikes made it impossible for me to get there today 😞

Great to be at the ⁦@iHealthVisiting⁩ Annual Celebration, and hearing from Sarah McMullen from the ⁦@KensingtonRoyal⁩ Centre for @Earlychildhood⁩ about the impact of the #ShapingUs campaign over the last year! #BestStartforLife@Alison_Morton2

You can't punish trauma out of young people,it only adds more pain. This doesn't mean there shouldn't be consequences for actions. We must also understand their stories & experiences to formulate a plan that helps young people return to themselves & develop positive behaviours.🧠🌱

I lived in mid Wales for many years. For a few months we had to make a regular drive between Newtown and the hospital in Swansea as my OH was having to see a consultant. The shortest route was 88 miles and took over 2 hours. All routes went through a series of towns. 1/

I cannot emphasise this strongly enough, the biggest barrier to parent-infant relationship work now is lack of an appropriately trained workforce. Commissioners are catching on to the benefits of this work. Train your staff now to be in a position to act when the money comes.
