Really incredible work in @JACCJournals on one-time lipid levels in young adults Look at HR for later ASCVD and events! So, what do we do about it?

Super interesting perspective on the pros and cons of using mortality as the endpoint in critical care trials, and caveats to think about when interpreting these trials. Thanks @TheSurajKannan for sharing!

I've obviously been biased by all the exceptional GDMT trials of the last several years, so this was a helpful post on clinical trial endpoints (and why mortality might always be the most useful): emcrit.org/pulmcrit/morta…

This is awesome!!! Love seeing examples of advocacy works!

#HB1388 is signed!!! Non-competes will be strictly regulated in Maryland! Restrictive covenants are banned for all under $350k, and limited to 1 year and 10 miles from primary practice location for >350k. This is huge for patient continuity of care and for health professional…

More FREE #MedEd! I've looked a long time for this Phenomenal video on echo artifacts. Probably the best review I've found Thanks to @IACaccred and @ASE360 for putting this out youtube.com/watch?v=YOMJIK…

A FANTASTIC summary of #ACC24. Most excited about REDUCE-AMI, ULTIMATE-DAPT, & CRESCENT - Looking forward to seeing how these might change practice. Particularly excited about MAD devices - now we need longer term fup + resources on the best devices to recc to pts.

Takeaways from #ACC2024. Late breaking trials - take home points @ACCinTouch 1. RELIEVE-HF Trial: In patients with HFrEF and HFpEF, Interatrial Shunt did not show any significant difference in the primary effectiveness endpoint, a composite of all-cause mortality, LVAD/heart…

11 mo f/up is pretty solid, and no sig difference in MACCE with ticag monotherapy after 1 mo post-PCI is INCREDIBLE! Wonder if this will change guidelines - my only Q is if they will do a sub-analysis looking at differences in pts with single vessel dz vs multivessel dz? #ACC24

#ACC24 Ultimate DAPT trial with some incredible results ⬇️ bleeding WITHOUT ⬆️ in cardiovascular events How do the guidelines change to reflect this? Fellows and attendings on consult teams everywhere watching @JACCJournals

So sad I’m missing ACC this year and missed this incredible talk! @GarimaVSharmaMD

Excellent talk today by my amazing mentor @GarimaVSharmaMD on the #Top10 relevant clinical practice updates in #CVD during #pregnancy and the #postpartum period at #ACC24 🫀 Key points 👇

In our new @JACCJournals article, we created the first CAC age-sex-race percentile calculator (cac-tools.com) for US young adults aged 30-45 from a cohort of 19,725, the largest study of CAC in this population to date. sciencedirect.com/science/articl… Why it matters 👇(1/9)
