Praying for those standing for democracy in China!

Incredible. This photo reportedly shows two Chinese professors in Shanghai standing bravely between dozens of police and protesting students. (h/t@RealBeiMing)

Hi @yaledailynews, let's talk. Your decision to publish a report conducted by two Chinese student journalists after they requested repeatedly to remain anonymous greatly concerns Chinese journalists, including me. (Thread)

“Geography is the study of earth as the home of people.” We are sad to hear of Yi-Fu Tuan's passing at the age of 91. Geographer Yi-Fu Tuan's voice led the humanistic geography movement and transformed the way we think about place and space. We are grateful for his vision.

It took me years to realize how neurodiversity had impact on my communication styles. I always thought I was lack of interpersonal skills because I don't curb my thoughts. With the awareness of how ADHD and ASD works, I realize how unique those thoughts were and I should speak.

There’s a trend of academics equating being critical with being mean spirited. As someone whose upbringing cast critique/complaint as an inherently good thing (striving for better, reconciling discomfort/ambiguity), I cannot help feeling somewhat maligned by this rhetoric.
