You know, navigating the internet became a lot easier when I started to just assume about 90% of the stories people tell on it are lies. I think that's the biggest thing about modern society that bothers me, people don't think twice if a lie can get them sympathy and/or clout.

I think I just saved us about $100 on a plumbing bill. The plumber fixed a periodic clog we get in the house and since he'd been out in the sun and this is Florida I offered him a cold drink. In thanks he rounded his hours down instead of up. Being nice pays off!
Thanks to me scoring a whole turkey for $5 yesterday we're going to be having 'practice Thanksgiving' this weekend.
When I start on a new project that has a lot of fresh characters I'll write a list of names that sound like the vibe of the story and keep them close. That way when I just need to grab a name they're there. I'm like a raven with names, I just grab things I like and save them.

I'm writing a scene with a tactician character and this big elaborate plan he arranged. The trick is going to be making it sound like I didn't just pull said plan out of my keister and that it's an actual plan created by an actual master tactician, really! ...My brain hurts.
Rock-a-Doodle. Hands down, easy. It was a 'new' fairy tale with all the right fantasy elements that only make sense to kids like how the owl turned the boy into a cat so he'd taste better and singing evil away and having faith. Plus, look at the voice cast on this thing!
