Fun to have my grandma ride along in the truck for a load to the elevator. She and my grandpa built our farm. She taught me what work ethic looks like. I’m thankful for the sacrifices of past generations that made today’s opportunities possible. Proud to carry on the legacy.

I don’t always wake up at 5 when I don’t have to on a Sunday morning, but when I do I go for a run in high visibility attire. Running is an outlet for me. It clears my head and grounds me. Thankful for a crisp fall morning and a chance to get out enjoy the day.

Can't beat driving a country road though rolling hills at sundown with cattle and pastures on each side. #SimplePleasures #JoyInTheJourney

When there is a 90’s country themed event, someone has to portray “Goodbye Earl.” It might as well be me.

Had a great conversation with a high school senior who has been an active 4-H member for many years. She is looking forward to helping a first year livestock exhibit this summer. 4-H does a lot of good for members and it is fun when they see the big picture and pay it forward.

My heart is full! Spent the weekend meeting with Farm Bureau Promotion and Education Committee, learning about how one dairy farm has added value to their business, visited with friends in person and on the phone, and enjoyed incredible weather. #LifeIsGood

Life is full of milestones. For a lot of people that looks like weddings and baby showers. But what about the other milestones or the friends that aren’t celebrating those milestones? Find out what is important to your people, and be there to cheer them on.

NC State won me over today. I’m not the only one. There is just something about an underdog story and a team loving every moment of their time on the court and in this tournament. Keep on busting brackets!

Livestock shows will always be my happy place. Fun set of cattle on day 1 of the Jackrabbit Memorial Show. Good to see friends too. #GoingShowing

Reality is when it is 60 degrees one day, and the next it is 10 degrees with wind and snow. Welcome back to the reality that it is indeed still winter. #MidwestLife

I don’t always use my wingwoman skills, but when I do they work like a charm.

Went to SDSU’s last home wrestling dual of the season. Seniors were recognized and also wrestled at home for final time. Endings are always sad, which means it has been a great season, and career for some hard working individuals. Good luck! #GoJacks

Midwest Questions: When at @KwikTrip , what is the best response to “See you next time.”?

Part of the message at church talked about seasons. There are various seasons in our lives. Some are filled with joy, while others are more challenging. There is beauty in every season. Regardless of the season of life, God is unchanging. He walks beside you in each season! #Amen

Random phone calls from my grandma are my favorite! Always good to catch up. #family

Heartfelt judge’s speech prior to the selection of the champion steer in Denver. This award is given in memory of cattlemen, Nick Reimann who passed away in 2014. Nick’s son Croix exhibited the champion steer and took home that award this year. Special moment!

Judge Glen Martin Heartfelt Comments During Denver Steer Show "We don't know what the future holds, we don't know what tomorrow brings, you don't know anything about anything except the moment right here, right now, and I encourage you to live in that moment. I encourage you to…

Shout out to all the livestock producers. Despite blizzards, wind chill, snow depth, or any other factor animals still come first. Thank you for doing what you do, especially on the most challenging days.

I’m thankful for good friends. Sometimes life takes us to different places, but their presence always feels like home. Here’s to the people who make the highs and lows a little bit better.

Whenever there is a potluck, I bring the peach cobbler. I believe in mastering a few recipes and executing them perfectly. #NeverFailedYet

Just when I thought that hot chocolate couldn’t get any better, someone added a scoop of peppermint SDSU ice cream. #amazing #GameChanger

There comes a time when you start to relate to the older country songs that you didn’t fully understand as a kid. #RightOfPassage #LessonsInLife
