hey, I have decided I will be perma-deactivating my account in the next 24hrs. this is unrelated to the stuff happening on twitter itself, but more of a personal choice/mental health related. if you want to reach out, you probably know how. so long, and thanks for all the fish ☺️

holy FUCK. Windows Snipping Tool is vulnerable to Acropalypse too. An entirely unrelated codebase. The same exploit script works with minor changes (the pixel format is RGBA not RGB) Tested myself on Windows 11

I've got a fun one for you all to look at. I opened a 198 byte PNG with Microsoft's Snipping Tool, chose "Save As" to overwrite a different PNG file (no editing), and saves a 4,762 byte file with all that extra after the PNG IEND chunk. Sounds similar :D

Oh wow, that's a first one for me. Using a probably legitimate/now hacked WordPress instance to send spam _as part of the WP username field_. Nope, not using the SMTP directly, just creating accounts in the hacked instance to send spam through the default "new user" template.
