Today, we’re honoring the lives of the 32 Hokies who were tragically taken from their loved ones and the Virginia Tech community on April 16, 2007. On the 2024 Day of Remembrance, we reflect on the tremendous promise each of them embodied for our world. #VTWeRemember 🧡

When I visited @UWNursing recently, I learned about “MOVIN” a wonderful program to help protect older adults from losing mobility during hospital stays. The innovative program was adopted by Tomah Health Care. Great example of the Wisconsin Idea in action. tomahhealth.org/wha-movin-prog…

Really important study and findings from my colleague and friend @ora_dall

Our new paper on 12-h shifts and patient incidents is out! @arc_wessex @workforcesoton @ZEjebu Perhaps unsurprisingly, we found that when wards were staffed with higher proportion of 12-h shifts, there was a higher patient incident rate. But why? hindawi.com/journals/jonm/…

The House's Labor HHS appropriations bill released yesterday would eliminate AHRQ entirely and cut funding across health agencies, like ARPA-H, NIH, CDC, and HRSA. It would decimate access to high-quality, patient-centered care and research. Read @DrSimpsonHSR's statement:
