Real-time segmentation of fibroblasts allows us to grow actin skeleton in a specified direction! Cells built @Pertzlab express optogenetic construct to activate RAC. We use @manager_micro and @napari_imaging to train a pixel classifier for segmentation on live data from scope. 🧵

Next to our fancy Leica microscope live the timelapse chambers I built for ~$150, using old microscopes and cameras that were gathering dust in the basement. The synchronization of lights, camera, focus, and watering make them more useful than the Leica for long-term imaging :)
