Here's what I think. 1. We are living in an incredibly dangerous world. A network of autocracies is now working actively to undermine the democratic world. I wrote about this in my book, Autocracy Inc. Will we fight back? penguinrandomhouse.com/books/725302/a…

It seems that Trump has won the male Hispanic vote. This shows the "circumstantial" nature of their "ethnic liberalism" -- illiberals can attract minorities when they provide them entry into the majority, effacing their minority status.

As I warned in May @SOAS : Brexit made the #UK more dependent on the #US: fine under a friend like Biden but high risk under #Trump who is far less interested in a relationship always more ‘special’ to one side than the other. The UK now needs the #EU. youtube.com/watch?v=G7WMOq…

The gender gap will be significant. But that American women and American men will not turn on each other. On the latter, I am optimistic.

“I'm more optimistic that the gender gap won't prove to be a major dividing line." Immigration will prove more divisive than gender in this election, explains Chatham House’s Leslie Vinjamuri. 🗳️ How To Win An Election 🎧 pod.fo/e/27df8f @LondonVinjamuri @HugoRifkind
