So great to see this really deep analysis of regulatory elements and their conservation on different levels finally out! Amazing work by @zkliesmete guided by @IHellmann

We are excited to share our latest manuscript on cis-regulatory evolution in primates: biorxiv.org/content/10.110… Congrats to @zkliesmete, @IHellmann and all co-authors! Short summary in a thread below ⬇️

Really cool approach to benchmark ambient RNA removal tools using genotype information. Great work by @ph_janssen and all co-authors. Congrats !

We are happy to share our latest work on #ambientRNA in single-cell and single-nucleus RNA-seq experiments, out now in @GenomeBiology! (1/7) link.springer.com/article/10.118…

An international team of researchers has analyzed nonhuman #PrimateGenomes from more than 230 species. The results show how these data can help us learn about both nonhuman primate biology and our own health. Learn more in a special issue of Science: scim.ag/2Qe

Happy to share our TOGA manuscript, now out in Science. Project started 6 years ago, we and others already used TOGA in numerous projects. TOGA integrates gene annotation and orthology inference, and scales to hundreds of genomes. science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

It was a pleasure being part of such a motivated group of people, both trainers and participants, and to learn the ins and outs of Ribo-seq. Main take home: Yes it's a challenging protocol but very doable!

'Measuring translational dynamics by ribosome profiling' finished last Saturday and we can't believe how quickly it went by! 🥼🔬☕ Thanks to our organisers, trainers, and speakers 🙏🏻 and course participants who joined us for the whole week of science and fun! 👏 #EMBORiboProf

Very relevant 🧵 with bulk RNA-seq methods like #primeseq that enable processing hundreds of samples efficiently and at low cost

Got an RNA-seq dataset with 50, 100, 200+ samples? Plug it into a differential expression tool and hope for the best? No! You need to consider QC, EDA, and modeling technical variation, or else risk generating spurious results. A thread on papers, methods, and best practices:

Excited to see this published after a great keynote lecture at the #singlecellBCN symposium last week. Time to try it on some of our own data!

Our latest paper is online @CellStemCell! Capybara: A computational tool to measure cell identity and fate transitions cell.com/cell-stem-cell… led by @WenjunK

Hi @fit_stem users, since the production of #StemFit Basic02 was terminated, what is your experience with StemFit Basic04 complete or StemFit Basic03 as an alternative? Are your #iPSCs / #stemcells as happy as before, or do you notice any differences? 🧫

Love #RNAseq but hate the price? Then check out prime-seq, our bulk protocol that’s perfect for researchers 👩‍🔬and core-facilities 🏫 alike. At $2.53 per sample, it’s one of the most affordable options out there. @le_wange @EnardLab biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Does anyone know what fraction of reads in single-cell RNA-seq data typically map (or could map) to ribosomal RNA genes? Not ribosomal protein genes, but to the large and small subunit RNAs?

Hey single cell folks, any experience with the 10x Multiome kit? It looks great on paper and in their in-house comparisons to the individual assays, I'm just wondering if it is as robust and easy to use as their other solutions? @10xGenomics #scQA #singlecell
