For those of you that like simple things (I do) this works - wearing a face covering is easy and is effective at keeping people safe

Everyone who supports the NHS give them a follow

If everyone who is grateful for NHS staff right now followed and retweeted, we would reach a million by midnight. It will take just two seconds to do, and you can help us share important information that could help save lives.

The number of new cases continues to bounce around but the overall trend is positive. Do not get complacent. To reduce the strain on our NHS we need to break the chain of transmission and get cases down. For this to work we all need to keep at it.

For the sake of all of us please can #HMRC just do something simple and efficient for once. Introducing new and meaningless terminology is the last thing we need but the first thing they gave us. Thanks.

Wonderful interview with Hylton Murray-Philipson who praised the medical staff who saved his life at Leicester Royal Infirmary and who emotionally applauded him as he was discharged.

It does look as though we're on the high plateau of infections now which is positive. They should go down. The problem is, although new infections may reduce, the peak hasn't arrived yet for the NHS. Following the rules has never been so important.

The 76-day Wuhan lockdown has officially been lifted. This was the epicentre of the virus and now life is returning to normal. It may be hard to imagine now, but the same will happen to us- we all just need to sit tight and we will get through this.

The case numbers today are encouraging. Unfortunately, the deaths will continue to lag behind but as we have seen elsewhere it falls in this order- Cases, hospitalisations, deaths. I think we are at the peak of new cases now. What we are all doing is working.

BREAKING: No10 says Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been "stable" overnight & remains "in good spirits". He's still in intensive care & receiving "standard oxygen treatment" but is not on a ventilator & does not have pneumonia.

Important to remember so many people are going through what Boris Johnson is going through right now & so many families are desperately hoping their loved ones make it through. If you’re religious, say a prayer for them all. If you’re not, wish them luck. We’re in this together.

Great news that Boris is stable and is in good spirits. Reports are that he does not have pneumonia and is not requiring a ventilator. All positive news. We're all behind you Boris.

We've seen across the world the virus being beat back. South Korea, Italy, Spain - they are all showing it can be done. The rest of us need to hold our nerve and keep calm. It's a tough fight but it's one we will win.
