The velvet, soothing and equally reassuring tones of @FryRsquared combined with her razor intellect and joyous rationality makes the #Uncharted podcast a “lay down misère” for required listening. Thank you.

If you are a working class person who wants to work in radio or podcasting, send me a DM 🎙️📻 I will look to offer some mentoring / some sort of open online sessions after the summer.

New research from the Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre exposed an overwhelming lack of diversity. In film, TV and radio, just over 8% of creatives are from working class backgrounds - the lowest in a decade - while over 60% are middle or upper class.

When I moved to London to pursue a career in radio I ended up in 4-5k worth of debt. Nobody was paying for my rent, food, travel. I was surrounded by colleagues at my level who lived at home with their parents.
