My desk mate is on the market!! Peng studies the puzzling fall in female labour force participation in China during a period of strong economic growth. Check him out!! 👇🏼
I’m on job market this year! Female labor force participation has declined in many developing countries over the past decades, including urban China and India. I use a life-cycle model to evaluate the importance of several channels to explain the decline in urban China (1/3).
Our PhD candidate Pengzhan Qian (@Pengzhan_Econ) is on the job market this year with his paper "What Drives the Decline in Female Labor Supply in Urban China". His research interests are macroeconomics and labor economics. Learn more: sites.google.com/view/pengzhan
Our PhD candidate Hanifa Pilvar is on the job market this year with her paper "Primary care Doctors' Shortages and the Role of Financial Incentives". Her research interests are health economics and labor economics. Learn more: hanifa-pilvar.github.io

@ezhuravskaya (@PSEinfo, @EHESS_fr) opens the fourth day of the PSE-CEPR Policy Forum with a keynote lecture entitled "Nation building: big lessons from successes and failures". Today's presentations will focus on #POLITICALECONOMY issues.
The First @EUI_ECO #PhDworkshop in #economics has ended. We couldn't be more proud of the outcome. Two very interesting and inspiring days and a great opportunity to create connections. 🥳 We hope this was the first of a long series. Thank you all!
Time to go back! Thank you @claudferraz for hosting me, for your feedback and generosity, as well as to the rest of the faculty at @ubcVSE And to the PhD family: it was great learning about your research and all the fun I had with you! You'll be missed!😊
