57 yo male patient twisted his ankle 3 weeks ago and had sudden pain lateral lower leg, proximal 1/3 fibula. Struggled to weight bear and had x-Ray via minor injuries reported as normal. POCUS shows cortical step deformity with periosteal oedema consistent with fracture.

POP QUIZ for my sonography savants: In this long axis view of the proximal patellar tendon, what are the vertically shifting parallel hyperechoic lines deep to the patella? Why do we see them?

I've noticed an increase in worried patients with patellofemoral pain seeking a second opinion for their patella "maltracking" after seeing young physios. Anyone else noticing this dated idea is on the comeback? Is it being taught again at universities? (weak VMO vs tight ITB)

You don’t need some new fancy diet and exercise program. You need to be ruthlessly consistent with the basics. Protein and plants to fill you up with fewer calories and improve body composition. Resistance training 2-3x per week Aerobic training 2-3x per week Lots of walking

Apparently being a "Strava jockey"—someone who is paid to exercise for someone else, who, in turn, posts the workout under their own name—is a profitable thing. This so thoroughly misses the point that I lack words. channelnewsasia.com/asia/indonesia…
