Extremely important thread for everyone teaching this semester.

I'm a disabled educator going into f2f teaching this fall. What does that mean for my students? - reasonable policies with multiple modes of engagement so students dont feel pressured to come to class sick - accommodations automatically granted without debate 1/4

DRP Türkiye this year started and continues with voluntary efforts of the organisation team. Due to high inflation in Türkiye, the program needs some extra support in order to cover the expenses of the symposium. Please consider supporting our program via: gofundme.com/f/drp-turkiye-…

#Libya has long suffered from severe neglect in media coverage of its humanitarian events, and rarely reached headlines due to years of isolation and conflict. Today, we need to reach international support, given our extreme weakness dealing such crisis #StormDaniel #PrayForLibya

Buildings and houses were uprooted and swept away with the residents towards the sea. Entire families lost their lives, and estimates suggest that a quarter of the city was destroyed, with massive casualties in a densely populated city. #PrayForLibya

Derna is a city built in the delta of the dams and overlooking the sea. The two dams -one of which is 40m high- completely collapsed, and the water flowed in high waves that residents likened it to a tsunami, heading towards the sea.

🧵What happened in #Libya was not just floods caused by heavy rains, but the effect of the most violent Mediterranean storm in its history.Huge amounts of rain fell on the Green Mountain and filled the valleys that flowed towards two fragile dams standing above the city of Derna

Unpopular opinion but where are all those people who love vacationing in Morocco, wearing Moroccan clothing and fetishising everything Moroccan when it’s actually time to raise awareness about the disastrous earthquake and donate to the people who are actually in need?

Miriam Kuzbary Reposted

🚨 Death toll of the earthquake in Morocco has risen to 632 people. This is the strongest recorded earthquake in the country in the past 123 years. The 7 magnitude disaster was felt all the way in Spain and Portugal.

These earthquakes hit the most vulnerable communities, including indigenous rural villages in the atlas mountains. Please, help in any way you can, and if you can’t contribute, please RT this 🙏🏻 Thank you.

🇲🇦 Friends looking to support those impacted by the Morocco earthquake can donate to @FoodbankMaroc It's been recommended by friends in-country, has a history of mobilizing in emergencies including earthquakes and floods, and is already to work now: banquealimentaire.ma/donation/
