A friend's male assistant is a fake email account she runs because people called her "difficult" and "impossible" for having small windows of availability until "he" started running interference and then people just accepted she was fucking busy. I AM VERY INTO THIS.
Just shipped my first PR (feeling 😎) to create a redirect for a Marketing Partner. A simple dev task but the fact I could do it all on my own was so empowering. Thank you @Shopify and @jmwind for building a culture of developer literacy for all employees!
The first question people used to ask me about working at @Shopify was about our offices and food perks. I always told them the secret sauce is how much our leadership team cared about us and our health. This decision is further proof why this is the fuel powering the 🚀
Today Shopify announced Fridays off for R&R through August. A response to lower rates of vacation being scheduled, despite the increased mental pressure from the changing times that we’re in. And, we also have no meeting Wednesdays (since before it was cool) THIS. IS. THE. PLACE
