We have one day left to let everyone we know that Amendment 2, this Voucher Amendment, would devastate our public schools and negatively impact our communities. Talk to your friends and family and let them know: Vote NO on 2. #VoteNOon2
Amendment 2 is a blank check for Frankfort politicians to spend our tax dollars on private schools with zero accountability. Those same politicians get to pick who get those vouchers. Amendment 2 is a scam. Vote No on Amendment 2. #VoteNOon2
When you cast your ballot, please remember to protect our students, schools, and communities and Vote NO on Amendment 2! #VoteNOon2 #protectourschoolsKY
I may have to stop the other books I have in progress to read this one. It should have the subtitle of "The School Choice Advocates Handbook" based on what we see in the mailers and ads that the out of state billionaires are buying for them. Vote No on Amendment 2!
The amendment would overturn 7 sections of the constitution to make the widest use of vouchers possible. And it’s deliberately written with no guardrails on who benefits & how much is spent, says @TomShelton47 former Fayette Co. superintendent. kentucky.com/opinion/op-ed/… #VoteNoOn2
"The idea that Amendment 2 won’t lead to major public dollars diverted to private school vouchers is like ordering an elaborate restaurant dinner and saying you don’t plan to eat it. The whole point of Amendment 2 is to allow what’s now unconstitutional." kentucky.com/opinion/op-ed/…
Yes, it is absurd to say diverting public school dollars into private schools will raise teacher pay. If you want to raise teacher pay then raise it. You don't need a constitutional amendment to do that.
Amendment 2 is dangerous. It doesn’t matter how it’s presented, the bottomline, Kentuckians are being asked for permission to use our public tax dollars to fund private schools through confusing language on the ballot (outside common schools). Local communities fund more than…
Reminder: Amendment 2 = the Voucher Amendment and vouchers take money away from public schools. #VoteNOon2
"As parents from FL & AZ, we have seen firsthand the devastating impact of publicly funded school vouchers. We offer a gloomy cautionary tale to KYians so that you can understand why passing Amendment 2 ... would be a terrible idea. #VoteNOon2 Read more: kentucky.com/opinion/op-ed/…
Allowing the legislature to ignore SEVEN sections of the state constitution? Doesn’t sound like limited government to me. Instead of defending the freedoms protected by our constitution, the Voucher Amendment would hand the legislature a blank check to undermine education.
Paducah Head Start/Preschool had a successful meeting with Congressman Comer. Thank you, Congressman @JamesComer for taking the time to discuss why it’s important to increase #HeadStart funding in FY25 and support the #HeadStartAdvantage.
It’s a great day to work for Paducah Head Start!! Looking forward to advocating for the critical services to we provide to vulnerable communities across Kentucky!! #HeadStartAdvantage
Vote No on Amendment 2 - the Voucher Amendment!
Every day our teachers invest in our children, shaping minds and hearts for tomorrow. Let's continue to support these heroes who make a difference in classrooms across our commonwealth.
