1st graders are working in non-fiction reading and writing units and becoming experts on a variety of topics. Students went around campus to learn more from other experts making careful observations and asking questions about their roles . It was a fun way to celebrate curiosity!

Today our 1st graders invited their parents to join their cozy morning of reading. Students read from their book bags the stories they wrote, and shared their small moment writing.   #ASB60th #Werasb

Our ES parents ended last night's Open House by sharing some words of wisdom and inspiration on our graffiti wall for our Ss. A huge thank you to our teachers and families for a wonderful evening! @ASBschool

Our 5th graders decided to draw the flag from their home countries at afternoon recess today. Such a fun and spontaneous way to play and share a little bit about each other's culture. @ASBschool

Our Ss were so excited to see their self portraits curated in the entrance to the elementary school today! All day I had the privilege of listening to Ss admire and compliment each others work! #weareASB @ASBschool

Our leadership team kicked off the year by reflecting on what actions and behaviors exemplify our @ASBschool core values. Such thoughtful, important work inspired by @BreneBrown! Great choice @johannacena and @kristenmacc
