8 weeks in my newly qualified post and received this today. It’s from the support of the most amazing team I’ve been able to achieve what I have so far and feel so valued. Thank you for everything you do to help me grow Central Cluster - You’re the best! #communitynursing

Receive my pin and come home to these… How beautiful is my life longer 🥰❤️

Living proof that no matter what curve balls life tries to throw at you, you keep getting up and carrying on, no matter how long the journey takes. You will always reach your destination. Here’s to starting my next new life chapter and journey as a community staff nurse.

A-Level results day and my boy has smashed it out of the park and got his first choice to study psychology and criminology. To say I’m elated for him doesn’t even come close! Now to enjoy a gap year, before the studies commence. Forensic psychology here he comes… @SalfordUni

Thank you Central Cluster District Nurses for the best final placement I could ask for. All the team has literally been so supportive and helped me grow so much. More importantly believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself 💙 #communitynursing @NCAlliance_NHS

Mud + sun = fun!!! @raceforlife 5K pretty mudder ✔️

The best surprises always come when you least expect them! Especially when they’re off one of your sisters, her kids and my mum ❤️ Thank you so much! I love it and love you all! 🥰😘 Hopefully I can continue to keep my family proud! (And get another Starbucks cup! 😂)

Thank you to Sarah from @boltongpfed for helping me organise a spoke placement at a GP practice. My first day has been amazing and so eye opening! So excited to see what the rest of the week has in store and what knowledge I can learn from each skilled practitioner.

Sat in my car crying like an idiot as I’ve just got my final exam result and I’ve passed! It’s been one hell of an emotional, long rollercoaster with stepping off twice with dad passing away and my son becoming poorly. But here I am in my car in happy tears that it’s now all over

Been offered the job from day one for when I qualify. District nursing… ready or not!

Interview day for my first staff nurse position for when I qualify. Appearance ✅ Question to ask written down so I don’t forget them ✅ Even if I don’t get the post, I’m taking everything as experience and so I can grow and learn… Wish me luck! 🤞🏼

Got my first staff nurse interview coming up and I’m genuinely really nervous. I didn’t think I’d be considered for interview and now I am, all I keep thinking is I’m going up against experienced nurses. They won’t want me!Any advice for a newly qualified on how to stand out?

That’s my OSCE passed!!! 🎉🎉🎉 Actually cried with seeing this result! I was the biggest bag of nerves ever and convinced myself I’d messed it all up! Roll on for the 5th June for my final assignment result…

Placement 3.2 Finally the end is in sight. After stepping off twice and not having the best experience throughout this degree, the end is finally here. Here’s to making the next 13 weeks count…

Placement 3.2 begins a week Monday.Spoke to staff who seem lovely&I’ve already arranged 2spokes that link with the caseload management of community patients. Not going to lie,my uni experience hasn’t been the best due to personal circumstances. However, the end is finally in sight!

A morning of networking and seeing what the possibilities are for a soon to be newly qualified nurse. @NursingJobsFair

OSCE ☑️ Now to throw myself into work, until simulation weeks and final placement commences in May. Scary to think if I pass my OSCE and final assignment, I’ll be qualified in September! Been a rough ride, but the end is finally nearly here! 😬

OSCE submitted… HUGE relief… Now time to get into the wedding festivities tomorrow and get ready to watch my beautiful friend get wed! Doing a reading in front of 120 people, is something I’m not looking forward to…

Had the best day with my son 💙 Ice-cream, history and a well deserved pint after our walk. Both needed a day to forget about reality. Now, time to prep for my OSCE and my son for his A-Levels. We’ve both got this!
