WOOHOO! 2023 is wrapped, and put into a collage! There was a lot of cool science with high voltage, magnets, and lasers and a lot of collaboration with some brilliant folks. Really looking forward to finishing up a few lingering projects.. but here's to a bright (and fun) 2024!

Rhizoboxes are neat.. especially when you can apply passive membrane imprinting to sample root systems and the exometabolome. Growth chambers, greenhouse, or even the field. RhizoMAP can be broadly applied! Reach out to us @EMSLscience #TeamMassSpec doi.org/10.1186/s13007…

I wish there were updated definitions for high resolution MS #TeamMassSpec when some qTOFs are breaking into IFS, and others can't. It's a bit triggering, old thresholds for HR/AM mean nothing for omics

Well. Hope we don't get unfunded, but who knows. Sigh.

This hurts my soul a little, there isn't a magnet on this instrument.

Gosh. People are the worst. But others are literally the best. Maybe the purge is the only option

It's the second night that Spectrum had an outage. And I was midway thru a movie. Always happens around midnight, they are so rude.

Decided to enter a food coma today and made a nice little muffaletta. What a beautiful sandwich.

The world lost a lot when QWERTY replaced T9 texting. I still peck at my keyboard, but give me a T9 and I could type an essay without looking and it'd be perfectly spelled.

This is cool. Will have to think about adapting to Bruker spectrometers, charged vs. grounded electrospray is a tricky beast!

Never have I ever hoped to see polymer. Well, until today haha.

Wings aren't that hard, and I shouldn't have to make them at home to be happy with them. Double fry them. Make them crispy. 10 min at 350-375°F, then 10 min rest, and refry for 5 min at 350-375°F.

I can name obscure analytical papers back from the 1970s to now, but I really have no clue about the current field of Nobel chemistry. Maybe I need to read more, not.

It took 9 yrs, but I finally am working with nanoLC. Something I swore I'd never touch since I found high-flow work so boring. Thankfully there are others doing the wrangling, but its kinda cool, I'm sure the excitement will wear off haha 😄

Say hello to Pranav Dawar, an @EMSLscience postdoc who works in proteomics. Read about Dawar in a feature article celebrating #postdocs for #NationalPostdocAppreciationWeek: bit.ly/4dXWmR3

It's really funny what CE listing for electronics actually means, oh yeah, it's absolutely nothing. Certain CE things I'm scared to plug into the wall, or leave plugged in. Just like my new SaunaBox steam unit...
