Today we remember Dora Akunyili, who died in 2014. In 1988 she lost her sister, who was given fake insulin for diabetes. In 2001,she became the head of NAFDAC & By 2006, she had reduced the circulation of fake drugs in Nigeria from 80% to 17%. A legend🫡Keep resting🕊️

NAFDAC was one of the organisations I studied for my PhD between 2009 and 2012. I had the privilege of interviewing the late, great, Prof Dora Akunyili. I remember the interview as if it happened yesterday because I interviewed her at home and she insisted on cooking breakfast…

Dear young Nigerian, Stay humble. It is easy to be arrogant in today's world which emphasizes the need to show off. You should never be too big to becorrected. It costs you nothing to be polite. How you treat others says a lot more about you. Life is a lesson. Stay humble.

Pre-seed founders: consider a 1-hr monthly meeting with your strategic angels & VCs. Just had one of these calls tonight with a founder & 4-5 other investors, and it's a valuable way for startups to get some strategic & tactical help prior to setting up a formal board.

Problems are usually systemic and require digging deep for a sustainable solution. A short thread of how I learned to approach problems in a different way. I will give some examples from work, study and an interview. #SystemsThinking

There’s always a transaction, a meeting a policy, an advice or research. High level law practice demands mental alertness 24/7 which drains your very essence. Still, I always tell myself “I am the power elite, I do not fear the work”.
