"We clearly need 20,000 guards... at present we have 14,100, it's not enough..." Fianna Fáil's Jim O'Callaghan on the party's aim to hire 6,000 additional members of the Gardaí if returned to government. #rtept | @RTENews

Huge thanks to the everyone in St Joseph's & St Kevin's National Schools in Finglas for the warm welcome when myself & @PaulMcauliffe visited this morning. Great to meet with local residents on our canvass of the area & a very positive response to Paul’s delivery in the community

Teaching is a very challenging but rewarding job, you are so much more than a teacher, counselling students, providing extra curricular and having a huge impact on a young persons life. I doubt Michael O’Leary would last a week in a classroom ‘to go out and get things done’

Tackling crime and making sure everyone feels safe in their own community is one of our key priorities. Supporting safer, cleaner and more resilient urban communities is at the heart of Fianna Fáil's plan to move our country forward.

Our plan is about sustained action on the most important issues. A plan for moving our country forward. Together.

If Dublin City Council actively imposed the rules around election posters they’d make a fortune in €150 fines. Clare Daly in particular is all over the northside of the city this morning. Lots of Mary Lou too. #GE24

I doubt Pearse has ever been at an education conference, but there are multiple stands with various companies who give out samples throughout the day, this isn’t a meeting 🤦‍♂️

You have been caught out. When you’re in a hole stop digging. Here is one of the emails that the Director of public affairs of Yondr sent to you last year. Also why didn’t you tell the public that there would be an additional cost every year of nearly €2 million to replace up…

I'm the son of a busman and I came from a working class community. I’m the first to get to second level education in our family. And the first generation to get to third level. I don’t need lectures from the far left.

I was delighted to hear news from the Minister for Sport @ThomasByrneTD that three more local clubs have received sports capital grants. This includes a grant for €101,426 for @setantaBAC Well done to Darragh and all those who worked so hard on the application.

If you are a ‘special voter’ and need a postal vote due to illness or disability that might impede you from voting in person, it’s form PV2 (checktheregister.ie/en-IE/forms) but the same timings apply - has to be with the council by Sunday, so in practical terms, by the end of Friday

Cllr. Keith Connolly Reposted

🚨 If you’re away from home for work or study on November 29th, you only have until Sunday (so, in practice, tomorrow!) to apply for a postal vote. Form PV4 (checktheregister.ie/en-IE/forms) needs signature by an employer/college/school, and sent in hard copy to your city/co council.

As the US takes to the polls today don't forget to register to vote ahead of the Irish election. Once it gets called you'll only have about 4 days to register. So do it now! It's quick and easy and done at the below websites voter.ie (Dubs) checktheregister.ie

A topical issue at @DubCityCouncil monthly council meeting reads ‘ DCC says free Enoch Burke now’ some Councillors must hate debating actual council issues like waste management and housing. Thankfully it was easily defeated, and we will now debate motions on notice instead.

Over the past 4 years I've had the honour of representing you in Leinster House. On the issues you've asked me to raise, we have made progress but I want to keep fighting for more.
