Squad isn't as bad as people think it is, Ange is simply not using the players correctly. It's so obvious our players are better suited to a double pivot, wide full backs and wingers which cut in or/and sit narrower
Maddison deep, Udogie half-space, Son wide left, was a horrid dynamic. Why not just overlap Udogie and move Son inside. Madders is even decent at manipulating a half-yard and crossing from wide in support of Udogie.
Son getting moved back to the wing was the elephant in the room over the summer, it’s just a complete misuse of him at this stage. Could at least give him an overlapping FB instead we got a clunky fullback clogging up the space and being out of position as a result
